Our story

Little Dayane brand was co-founded by Haitian-born French author Dayane Dorlys and her

sister Johana Petit-Frere in 2019. Inspired by their childhood experiences and created to

celebrate African and Caribbean children, Little Dayane  is designed to promote the

beauty of diversity.

All the products aim to motivate children to develop their self-esteem,

self-worth and confidence. Items include children’s story books, magazines, motivational

colouring books and fun educational activity books. Little Dayane Children’s toys are also

coming out soon!

"The Magic Mirror" is the first published book in the series, available in both English

and French.

Little Dayane was build on

LEADERSHIP: We lead by example and influence others to do the same.

INTEGRITY: We build trust through responsible actions and honest relationships.

TEAMWORK: We are stronger when we work together as a team.

THRIVE: To grow, develop and be successful.

LONG-TERM GOALS: We invest today to have a positive impact in the future.

ENDEAVOUR: Success comes with hard word and consistency.

At Little Dayane, we live out our values in everything we do.

OUR MISSION

Our mission

We believe representation matters!

Our vision at Little Dayane is to create motivational and educational products which encourage a profound connection of cultures, hopes and aspirations for all our children. Each item in the Little Dayane Activities collection is perfectly selected to be entertaining while

allowing children to see themselves represented, inclusive of all abilities, impairments, shapes and shades.

Developing positive self-esteem and confidence is an integral part of our ethos. We want to teach children about their black culture and heritage, how to understand their self-worth and how to build a strong sense of community.

We believe that our children belong in every room, at every table, and on any stage they desire. Therefore, we want to invest in them today to make a better world for tomorrow.
